Old Otterbein United Methodist Church in the Baltimore Inner Harbor Area

Old Otterbein United Methodist Church (UMC) is the oldest, continuously operating church in Baltimore. It is located next to the Baltimore Convention Center, one block from Oriole Park at Camden Yards and two blocks from the waters of the Inner Harbor.

Because of its location, Old Otterbein United Methodist Church--where the old meets the new--is the destination of many visitors to Baltimore. The air-conditioned church is frequently the site of weddings for those who plan to hold their reception near the beautiful Inner Harbor. It is the site of many tours as well as occasional concerts. It has an active young adult group that believes in service, whether collecting clothes for the needy, or volunteering at the local Maryland Food Bank or Veterans Hospital.

Otterbein is known as the "peanut church" because for over 15 years it has sold peanuts to crowds attending Orioles games at Camden Yards; the proceeds are used to maintain and restore the three buildings on the campus. Plan to visit this peaceful green paradise two blocks from Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
