Poetry Reading for Masked Exhibition at School 33 Art Center

School 33 Art Center HOSTS POETRY READING

FOR Masked Exhibition ON JUNE 11 AT 6:30PM

Visit School 33 Art Center for poetry readings in honor of the MASKED exhibition.  On Thursday, June 11 from 6:30-8pm, join host Rosemary Winslow, along with poets Judith McCombs, Teri Cross Davis and Clarinda Harriss for engaging and in-depth readings.  Public programs are offered in conjunction with the exhibition and take place at School 33 Art Center, located at 1427 Light Street.  The gallery is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 12-6pm. This exhibition is free and open to the public.

The MASKED exhibition showcases intriguing performances, photographs, drawings, sculptures and more.  The exhibition features 12 artists that explore concepts of secrecy and eventually revelation.  This exhibit takes place through Saturday, June 27.

Rosemary Winslow’s work has appeared in 32 Poems, Poet Lore, The Southern Review, Crux, Innisfree Poetry Journal and other journals.  Winslow received the Larry Neal Award for Poetry twice and Writer’s Fellowships from the DC Commission for the Arts and The Vermont Studio Center.  She teaches literature and writing at The Catholic University of America.  In 2007, Winslow’s book, Green Bodies, was published by The Word Works Press.  Currently, she resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband John, a visual artist.

School 33 Art Center is dedicated to providing opportunities for artists through exhibitions, art classes, workshops, a Studio Artist Program, and special events.
