Ring in New Year’s Day with fireworks at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor
Everyone is invited to the region’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration! Visitors can enjoy holiday festivities with family and friends at Ports America New Year’s Eve Spectacular. On Thursday, December 31 from 9pm-12:30am, Baltimore rings in the New Year with live entertainment at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater and a fantastic midnight fireworks show. The event is presented by Mayor Sheila Dixon, produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts and supported by corporate sponsor Ports America, with additional support provided by Harborplace & The Gallery, and media sponsors WJZ-TV 13 and Gay Life newspaper.
Classic rock and blues band Blues Therapy performs at 9pm in the Inner Harbor Amphitheater, located at Pratt and Light streets. The talented musicians have dazzled regional audiences for almost a decade. In 2006, the group released its debut CD titled “THE DOCTOR IS IN.” The skilled band continues to produce a quality and soulful sound. The colorful fireworks show illuminates the sky above Baltimore’s historic Inner Harbor at 12am. Returning to this year’s choreographed show is the addition of a third barge. Additionally, residents and visitors in surrounding neighborhoods can experience the dynamic fireworks show from area dining restaurants, parks and residences.
