MARK YOUR CALENDAR: FREE FALL BALTIMORE RETURNS OCTOBER 1
More than 300 free arts activities in 31 Days
Free Fall Baltimore returns October 1 through October 31 for the third year with over 70 cultural organizations presenting more than 300 free events. From free performances in music, dance and theater to museum exhibitions, lectures, classes, workshops and hands-on creative experiences, this fall arts celebration allows residents and visitors to enjoy the excitement of free activities in venues throughout Baltimore City.
Old favorites will return such as glass-blowing, clay and photography workshops, master classes with renowned classical guitarists, the hilarious “Get Loose and Laugh” by The Collective & The Baltimore Improv Group, Baltimore Public Works’ Big Truck Day and more. There are new arts treats to explore including the Baltimore Women’s Film Festival, and 13 new free theater experiences, from CenterStage’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” to Baltimore Theatre Project’s phantasmagorical “Cyclopedia.”
A project of the Creative Baltimore Fund, Free Fall Baltimore is made possible by Mayor Sheila Dixon and the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts. Free Fall Baltimore is a promotional collaboration designed to make art and culture more accessible to area residents and visitors, while introducing young adults and families to a wide variety of cultural experiences.
Media sponsors for Free Fall Baltimore include The Baltimore Sun, The Urbanite, Maryland Public Television, WBAL-TV, WJZ-TV, WMAR-TV, WUTV, WBFF-TV, CW-Baltimore, WYPR-FM, 92Q-FM, Magic 95.9 FM, WWIN-AM and WOLB-AM.
