Baltimore Inner Harbor Fireworks with Ports America New Year’s Eve Spectacular 2009-10

PORTS AMERICA NEW YEAR’S EVE SPECTACULAR ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31 2009
Ring in 2010 at the Baltimore Inner Harbor with the Ports America New Year’s Eve Spectacular. On Thursday, December 31 from 7pm-12:30am, visitors can enjoy great entertainment and the region’s largest fireworks show. At 7pm, live music begins with the a cappella group Part Harmony at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater, located at Pratt and Light streets. The festivities continue with a performance by classic rock and blues band Blues Therapy at 9pm. The night concludes with an electrifying multicolored fireworks show at the stroke of midnight, 12am. The event is presented by Mayor Sheila Dixon, produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts and supported by corporate sponsor Ports America, with additional support provided by Harborplace & The Gallery, Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, and media sponsors WJZ-TV 13 and Gay Life Newspaper.
Returning to this year’s midnight fireworks show is the addition of a third barge. Visitors can see a more impressive show, as colorful fireworks light the sky above Baltimore’s historic Inner Harbor. The annual fireworks display will be choreographed to festive music. In addition, the fireworks can be viewed from restaurants and other attractions, neighborhood parks and residences in downtown, Fell’s Point, Harbor East, Federal Hill and beyond. In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks show will be held Friday, January 1 at 7pm.
