National Aquarium in Baltimore - the Baltimore Aquarium.
The National Aquarium is one of the largest, if not the largest, single tourist attraction(s) in the State of Maryland. The Aquarium opened it doors in 1981 and today attracts over 1.5 million visitors each year from the millions of people who visit downtown Baltimore, Harbor East and the Inner Harbor. Located on East Pratt Street, directly on the Harbor, the Baltimore Aquarium is within walking distance of the Baltimore Convention Center and most of Baltimore's Inner downtown area hotels.

Our favorite displays within the multi-building venue are the rainforest within the roof, the central ray pool, the huge shark tank and, of course, the dolphin display. Baltimore's version of building an aquarium is considered by many to be among the best in the United States, if not the world.
The National Aquarium in Baltimore may be an "official" name, however it will still be the Baltimore Aquarium to most of us.
